In February 2011 the Australian Federal Government launched a national science communications program called, ‘Inspiring Australia’. Chit Chat works closely with the Victorian program ‘re-science’, administered by CSIRO, to create opportunities for bringing community organisations together with contemporary researchers and their work. Projects focus on enabling all participant to make more informed choices and decisions about subjects that impact on their lives.

Chit Chat has worked with Hirst Projects for over 4 years. Experts in strategic and business planning Hirst Projects have involved Chit Chat in conceptual developments of research facilities through to local government tourism information services plans. Chit Chat is currently collaborating with Hirst Projects to create a responsive strategic planning masterclass for planners and developers working in public infrastructure programs.
